Education for All: Bringing Learning Opportunities to Faryab's Children
Save the Children, with support from Education Cannot Wait (ECW), has initiated a new programme in Faryab province, Afghanistan, establishing 106 Community-Based Education (CBE) and Accelerated Learning Programme (ALP) classes. This initiative aims to reach 3,220 students, including boys and girls in 79 CBE classes and 378 girls in 27 ALP classes.
The programme is being implemented by our partner organisation Just for Afghan Capacity and Knowledge (JACK) and provides education for students.
Maria*, an 8-year-old student enrolled in this programme, says, "I'm very happy that many girls in our village now have access to a high-quality class nearby. We love our class and teacher so much that we’ve all prepared uniforms to look different from the other girls. I eagerly attend class every day to meet my friends, read my books, and better myself."
