Sponsorship programme distributes stationery kits among students in Faryab
Save the Children International's sponsorship programme in Faryab province recently distributed stationery kits (including school bags, notebooks, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, sharpeners, and colour pencils) to 5,000 eligible students (girls and boys) at targeted schools, aiming to encourage children to attend school regularly.
Parwana*, one of the students who received stationery, says, "I have always dreamed of having a formal school dress and a bag filled with all the stationery. Students like me aspire to go to school, but they stay at home due to their families' economic struggles. I kindly request Save the Children to continue providing support, as it not only encourages families to send their children to school but also gives us hope for a brighter future."
We also conducted awareness-raising sessions aimed to bring about social behavior change within the targeted communities regarding education.
