Race for Survival

Yesterday in our Race for Survival in Kabul 300 children came together and raised their voice! These children said no to poverty loud and clear!

Child Council in Bamyan

Jamila is 17 years old and in 11th grade. She has two sisters and six brothers. All her siblings who are of age attend school. Her father does not have permanent job and her mom is a house wife. Jamila has been working with CERT and Child Counsel for 6 weeks now. She wants to attend university and become a doctor. She wants to provide service to her country and people through her education.

Timely Response Save more lives

Afghanistan Joint Response Project with financial support from Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Save the Children International in Afghanistan provided 1,780 returnee, conflict-affected Internal Displaced Poeple (IDPs) and most vulnerable households in host communities with unconditional cash grants to enable them meet their basic food security needs whilst providing them with greater choices and flexibility to the beneficiaries in determining what type of food they want. Additionally, with implementing this project, Save the Children distributed household None Food Items (NFIs) kits to 2,400 most vulnerable households (returnees, conflict-affected IDPs, and host communities).
